UPCOMING TALKS - FREE AND OPEN TO THE PUBLIC
Many times a year, Vaughan Integrative Medicine and The Natural Vitality Center host free informational sessions on a variety of topics relating to integrative health. Unless otherwise noted, sessions begin at 6:00 PM in the lobby of Vaughan Integrative Medicine, and are free and open to the public. Seating is limited, so reservations are required. See below for information on upcoming talks:
ESTROGEN THERAPHY: THE SAFE AND INTEGRATIVE APPROACH TO HRT
In 2002 the Women’s Health Initiative proclaimed that hormone replacement therapy (HRT) was dangerous for women. It’s important to note, however, that this study was limited to only two drugs and did not consider the definitive benefits along with the potential risks of bioidentical HRT. For more than 40 years, physicians in the US have prescribed bioidentical estrogens, natural progesterone and testosterone. These physicians have seen women who lived fuller, better lives with strong bones, reduced chances of getting Alzheimer’s disease, reduced risk of breast cancer, and reduced risk of heart attacks.
Read about bioidentical HRT and the role of estrogen in promoting physical and emotional well-being in aging women in Dr. Vaughan’s blog article: Confused Over Estrogen?
Then, on Thursday, December 18, join Elizabeth Vaughan, M.D. to learn about the benefits and potential risks of bioidentical HRT and how to talk to your physician about initiating therapy. In addition to her allopathic medical training, Dr. Vaughan has additional intensive training in functional medicine and toxicology, making her one of the Triad’s leading specialists in Functional and Integrative Medicine.
Call 336.808.3627 ext 15 or email Taron for reservations; seating is limited.
COMPLEMENTARY mHBOT SESSIONS!
Many health problems are caused by or result from chronic low levels of oxygen in the tissues. Under pressure,
oxygen not only further saturates hemoglobin attached to red blood cells, but dissolves into the plasma,
cerebrospinal fluid, and synovial (joint) fluid. When these fluids circulate near injured tissues, oxygen passes
from them into dormant or injured cells, and speeds up healing and recovery. Dr. Vaughan strongly recommends mHBOT for:
mHBOT sessions are generally 75 minutes in length. Call 336.808.3627 ext 15 to schedule your two complimentary sessions. You do not have to be an established patient of VIM. Click here to learn more
